Whalebone Vineyard is located in the Santa Lucia Mountain Range west of Paso Robles. Established in 1989 on 128 acres, this winery is known for their exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. With their world class terroir, consisting of a perfect coastal climate, limestone and calcareous soils laden with fossilized seashells, and rocky south facing hillsides, Whalebone produces some truly great wine. How'd they get their name? Actual whale bones were unearthed when planting the vines on the property.
